On Monday, 22 September at 13:00 (BST) and 08:00 BVI time, Antonia Anderson of Grant Thornton UK, Charles Jeffery of Jeffery Capital and Andrew Brown of Radcliffe Chambers will be presenting on ‘Litigation Finance: The perspective from the office-holder and the funder’ as part of the IWIRC (BVI) / Radcliffe Chambers webinar series.
In the first IWIRC (BVI) / Radcliffe Chambers webinar of the new legal year the panel will discuss litigation finance and some of the various perspectives of both office-holders and funders, including: what types of claim might be financed and when should such finance be sought, what an office-holder should consider before funding including the benefits or drawbacks of funding, and what a funder looks for when considering whether to jump on board.
Antonia is a well-known figure in the BVI and is the director of the Grant Thornton office with over 18-years of experience as an appointment taking officeholder. She is also co-chair of IWIRC (BVI).
Charles is the CEO of Jeffery Capital with a focus on large-scale insolvency and Quincecare funding and has a wealth of experience as director at some of the largest funders in the market.
Andrew Brown is a Barrister at Radcliffe Chambers and specialises in commercial chancery work with a focus on insolvency and commercial disputes. He has a wealth of experience in asset recovery in complex insolvency claims, energy company insolvencies, commercial disputes, injunctions, and CIS matters.
